It is believed that anyone who stays at this temple after sunset will become a stone forever. After this horrifying scene, no one wanted to stay here after sunset.
There is a belief about Kiradu Temple that many years ago a Siddha Sadhu had come here with some of his disciples. One day he left his disciples there and went somewhere else. Meanwhile, the health of a disciple deteriorated. After this the remaining disciples sought help from the villagers but no one helped them. Later when Siddha Rishi reached there, he came to know everything. He became angry at this and cursed the villagers that after sunset everyone would turn to stone. There are also people who believe that a woman had helped the sage's disciples, so the sage asked the woman to leave the village before evening and not to look back, but the woman who was not there believed that She went and tried to look again. He attacks, then turns to stone. The statue of this woman was also installed at a short distance from the temple.
